Visit the FEI website here to see the latest Individual and team rankings for the Paralympics. The Australian qualifier has been cancelled/postponed and may still run in January 2008. If it goes ahead there will be some minor changes to the ranking lists but I am curently ranked 10th in Europe in Grade III and 14th in the World in my grade. This means I am still in with a chance of securing an individual place for Ireland at the 2008 Paralympics.
See the results from the CPEDI*** FEI Para Equestrian event in Moorsele, Belgium which took place on 5 - 7th October 2007. The next International Para competition in Moorsele will take place on 18 - 20th April 2008.
Dates are now available for the BD Para Winter and Spring Qualifiers and the KBIS qualifiers. Unfortunately, I can not confirm the dates for sure as the BD website shows different dates from those advertised on the Para Dressage Training Trust (PDTT) website. Therefore, you will need to check all dates carefully in the BD schedule nearer the time.
Any rider who achieves 60% in either the Winter or Spring qualifiers can apply to ride at the Hartpury CPEDI*** International on 13 - 15 June 2008. Riders should initially advise Sarah Murphy at British Dressage in writing of their intention to compete. The minimum age for riders is 14. All riders will also need to have FEI Classification in order to compete.
Since I got my 'green jacket' from John Whitaker International (JWI) they have supported me by providing breeches and other equipment for me and my horses. I was delighted to be invited to the recent JWI Open Day to launch their new premises. The best thing was I got to meet John Whitaker himself and have a nosey inside his fabulous new horsebox. It was the size of a house!
John's fab new horsebox
We chatted about the Paralympics and John said he hopes to be chosen for the British showjumping team at the 2008 Olympics. He has never ridden in Hong Kong but feels he has a fair chance as he has a really good horse at the moment.
Me with John
We had a buffet lunch and got to see the exciting new range from JWI in their brand new showroom. The range is not just for showjumpers - they are even introducing a fabulous new dressage saddle.

I would like to say a big thank you to everyone at John Whitaker International for a great day out and for their continued support. THANK YOU!!!
