Indi and trevor have had their routine physio sessions from Victoria Spalding, ready for the busy summer season. They've also had their teeth checked - so a full MOT of both horses is now complete!
I took both horses to the KBIS qualifier at Vale View and had a good day. Indi was on top form and did a good test to score 70.19%. I was also really pleased with Trev who did a nice test with just one tiny spook to come a close 3rd behind Emma Kent on Gentle with a score of 66.73%.
I won’t have chance to take Indi to another qualifier so I will just have to sit tight and hope his score is good enough to get me to the BD Nationals for the 11th time!

Sue and I had planned to share the ride on Trev at Port Royal but when we arrived at the venue we realised the wind had got up so much it was really blowing a gale. Pieces of plastic dressage arena were blowing across the outdoor school, so they had to be secured with some spooky looking sandbags!
Sue rode the first test which was good but Sue felt Trev was quite lively and could have spooked if I’d been on him so we decided that Sue should also ride the 2nd test as well. By the end of the test he had settled completely, so Sue made a last minute entry in Medium 63 – loads of people had pulled out because of the weather so there were plenty of spaces.
Sue came 3rd= in E44 with 65.60%, 6th in E42 with 62.18% and got a creditable 59.65% in M63 – Trev’s first ever Medium that had not even been practised. Overall the day was a valuable part of Trevor’s education and from that day on he seems to have settled well into his work.
